Mythic Kargath Bladefist Raid Guide

It’s time for the first Mythic raiding guide! We’ll start off with Kargath Bladefist in Highmaul. If you’re looking for our normal/heroic raiding guides you can find them in this overview. As always you can find the written guide after the break!

Kargath BladefistHey guys I’m Mezzy from WoW Weekly and welcome to this warlords of draenor raiding guide. Today we’ll be taking a look at Mythic Kargath Bladefist in Highmaul. This guide will cover the changes from heroic to mythic so if you don’t know the heroic mechanics check out our heroic kargath video guide.

Being the first mythic encounter it’s pretty easy and not much changes.

There’s a mechanic called Roar of the Crowd. You gain favor by doing various things and as the favor increases your dps will do so as well. Your favor will also be reduced by the Drunken Bileslingers and Iron bombers as these can now heckle you, reducing the favor you have gained. When you kill Iron grunts on the stands your favor will increase, so your group that gets launched up to the stands will now want to stay there for the full 40 second duration to kill as many grunts as possible. And as such, classes that deal massive AoE are best suited for the stands.

Other than the Roar of the Crowd there’s two changes to the fight.

The Fire Pillars now shoot Flame Gouts every 5 seconds on the floor. The marked area is very clear where it will be shot and you just have to keep moving out of them.

The other big change is that a tiger will come out of one of the Ravenous Bloodmaw pits. This tiger will work like Kargath’s Berserker Rush. Whoever he targets will need to kite the tiger into a fire pillar. Once it’s in the fire it will switch targets and the same process will repeat itself. All your ranged dps will have to switch to the tiger to kill it as soon as possible so you can get back onto Kargath.

Both putting the tiger in the fire and kargath’s berserker rush will also gain you favor, but as you want to deal with each of these mechanics as quickly as possible, the extra favor you do get should just be considered a bonus.

All in all not many changes to the fight except for killing a tiger and having to move around more.
