Heroic Iron Juggernaut Guide

Transcript:
Hey Guys I’m Mezzy and welcome to my guide for 10man heroic Iron Juggernaut. This is the 6th encounter in heroic Siege of Orgrimmar. I’m going to assume you know the normal mode mechanics. If you don’t you can check out my normal mode guide. You can click on the link in the annotation or in the description section.

Each phase has a new mechanic and they impact how you deal with the fight overall. Tanks have to switch on 2-3 stacks, just before the mines spawn so that they can still make the mines explode. The rest of the raid still has to watch out for the borer drill and the Laser burn. You also still have to dodge the mortar cannons. In phase 1 the Iron Juggernaut casts 1 more ability called Ricochet. This is a sawblade that will act like a boomerang. It is dodgable but it’s behaviour is hard to predict as it will not always take the same amount of space to turn around. You can even be as unlucky that the sawblade will hit you and then go straight back instead of spinning around.

What makes phase 1 annoying is the pure amount of damage each ability does now. Any combination of abilities has the potential to kill you. To deal with phase 1 you want to be spread out, but not too far because the healers still need to reach everyone. The laser is unavoidable but the rest for the most part is. When you get targeted by a borer drill move it backwards. Do not run it through other people or you will potentially kill them. The mortar cannons can still be easily dodged and as far as the ricochets go, it’s something you’ll have to get used to and even then despite your estimate of it’s path you will still get hit by it. As long as you don’t get hit by multiple abilities at the same time you should survive. But of course prevent as much damage as possible.

In phase 2 the constant aoe still pulses, demolisher cannons still hit you meaning you have to stay 5 yards apart, he still throws the tar and targets someone with the laser. He also still does the 3 shock pulses. He has a new ability called Mortar Barrage, with which he fires Mortars in rapid succession. This has a maximum range however. So if you use 3 healers what you want to do is when phase 2 starts, make sure everyone gets to full health and have everyone face their back towards the right side so that they get knocked back to the far right. There you will be out of range of the Barrage and then you just need to heal through the phase. Considering the damage you will have to use your cooldowns to get through the phase. After the first pulse that knocks you to the far back, there will be 2 more. Don’t stack on top of each other because of the demolisher cannons. Tar will still be thrown to you and if you get targeted by the laser make sure you don’t kite it over the tar. After one minute phase 2 will end as usual and you should run back to your original phase 1 positions and it’s rinse and repeat from there on out.

Once you get the hang of the phase 2 healing and being spread just right in phase 1 you’ll be well on your way to a kill, so good luck! If you liked this video please comment and subscribe.
