Heroic General Nazgrim Guide

Transcript:
Hey Guys I’m Mezzy and welcome to my guide for 10man heroic General Nazgrim. This is the 8th encounter in heroic Siege of Orgrimmar. I’m going to assume you know the normal mode mechanics. If you don’t you can check out my normal mode guide. You can click on the link in the annotation or in the description section.

On heroic the general has learned one new ability and has recruited one new type of add. You’ll still want to use 2 tanks, 2 healers and 6 dps. Tanks will want to switch at 3 stacks of the sundering blow debuff. All the adds still do the same have increased health and damage as you would expect. Instead of 2 adds that spawn at a time it’ll be 3 and at 10% you reach the soft enrage that spawns a lot of adds.

Nazgrim has gained the ability Execute, which does a large amount of damage which you need to deal with with your active mitigation ability. Although it will depend on your class, you should only need to use a cooldown for execute when the general is in his berserker stance. One of the new adds the general can summon to the scene is the Kor’kron Sniper.

The sniper fixates on one person like the assassins do, and most of the time it is on a healer. The sniper has 2 abilities, shoot which is just a single target attack. And Multi-shot shoots a cone of arrows doing 400k damage. The way you deal with this is that the fixated target needs to go stand by a wall, so that only the fixated person will be hit by multi-shot. In the video we marked two spots with a green and yellow raid marker, to reserve that space for the fixated targets. Other things to keep in mind when dealing with adds are, you’ll want to switch to banners and totems asap to kill them, the assassin hurts a lot so use as many slows and stuns on them as you can and be sure to interrupt the heal the shamans cast.

To switch to the adds as soon as possible tank Nazgrim near where they spawn. When both the arcweavers and shamans spawn, make sure to put 2 dps who can interrupt the arcweavers on the arcweavers as you’ll want to interrupt the non magistrike casts too. The offtank should get the shaman away from nazgrim so that if a totem spawns it won’t heal him. The priority order for the adds should be shamans, arcweavers, assassins, hunters and lastly ironblades.

When you get close to 10%, get nazgrim to where he spawns and clear up any adds that are up. If the wave of 3 adds is about to spawn, kill those off first. After they are dead, everyone should switch to nazgrim, pop heroism, cooldowns and second pots and nuke the general down. The offtank should keep the adds away from nazgrim as much as possible, especially the shamans.

This is definetly one of the easier heroics so you shouldn’t have to spend too much time on it, but nevertheless good luck! If you liked this video please comment and subscribe.
