New Garrison Feature: T.I.N.D.R. for Followers

Once again April Fools has come and gone, as usual blizzard put out some april fools jokes!

New Garrison Feature: T.I.N.D.R. for Followers

Just because you’re stuck on Draenor fighting a constant, desperate battle for survival doesn’t mean there isn’t time for love. Coming in Patch 6.1.4, we’re introducing a new feature designed to help your Followers locate the perfect complement to their Abilities and Traits—the T.I.N.D.R. Box!

Find companions for your companions, and steer the boat of love to safe harbor.

Acquiring a T.I.N.D.R. Box is easy! Similar to the S.E.L.F.I.E. camera, you’ll be given a random mission in your Garrison that will award a T.I.N.D.R. Box. It can then be applied to any level 100 Follower just like any other upgrade, and that Follower—armed with their new dating gadget—will spend countless hours swiping left and right as

they meander through your Garrison, overriding whatever task you’ve assigned them to.

Good news for you completionists: T.I.N.D.R. Box missions will continue to flood your queue until you’ve equipped all of your Followers (including everyone recruited from your Inn and immediately set to Inactive).

When the T.I.N.D.R. box goes live, Pleasure-Bot 8000 will resign from his duties as your Garrison’s sewing machine to play host to your Followers’ relationship excursions. Once you have at least one Follower equipped with a T.I.N.D.R. Box, you’ll receive alerts while out adventuring whenever one of your Followers has found a match. Return to your Garrison and speak to Pleasure-Bot 8000 to begin their date. Be sure to act quickly—dropping out of a Mythic Raid mid-encounter, if necessary—before either prospective match gets distracted and moves on.

When your Follower returns, you’ll be able to see if their mission was successful in fanning the flames of passion, or if they’d “rather just not talk about it.” Either way, as your Garrison’s commander you’ll receive a reward for your attempts at cultivating a courtship—along with a S.E.L.F.I.E. from your Follower documenting their results.

Given enough time, you’ll be able to guide all of your Followers to true happiness. For l’amour!

6.1.2 Hotfixes: March 31

Here you’ll find a list of hotfixes that address various issues related to the recently released World of Warcraft Patch 6.1.2. Hotfixes are updates made on our end without requiring a new client-side patch. Some of the hotfixes below take effect the moment they were implemented, while others may require the realm to be restarted to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch update. This list will be updated as additional hotfixes are applied.

The latest batch of hotfixes are listed below. Previous hotfixes will be compiled by category to provide a quick summary of all hotfixes that have been applied since the start of World of Warcraft Patch 6.1.2.

Tags may be added to some hotfixes to denote a special condition.

  • [Requires a realm restart] means the hotfix will not take effect until after a scheduled rolling restart or maintenance.
  • [Hotfix in testing] means the hotfix is in early stages of testing and may not be implemented just yet. However, the change is important and is posted to provide as much advanced notice as possible.

Patch 6.1.2 Information

March 31

Classes

  • Druid

    • Armor Sets
      • Tier-17 4-piece set bonus for Feral Druids should now correctly have a chance to trigger from Multistrikes.

Quests

  • Legacy

    • Striking Back (Dun Morogh): Repaired Bomber should now correctly fly over Ironforge Airfield and allow players to complete the quest.

Raids and Dungeons

  • Blackrock Foundry

    • The Blast Furnace
      • Phase 1
        • Furnace Engineers should now throw a bomb at players roughly every 6 seconds. Throw Bomb is now instant-cast, but the range is now 40 yards (down from 50 yards). These changes are intended to diminish the relative benefit of having two or more priests, compared to one or none: Mind Control allows for more controlled targeting of the Bombs, but does not speed up the phase as a whole.
        • Reduced the health of Heat Regulators.
    • Blackhand
      • Blackhand’s health has been reduced by 5% on Mythic difficulty.
      • Blackhand’s Massive Shattering Smash ability now deals 25% less damage on Mythic difficulty.
      • Iron Soldiers’ health has been reduced by 15% on Mythic difficulty.

Collections

  • Heirlooms

    • In response to player feedback, we have increased the power of Heirloom for levels 91-100. This change is intended to help Heirlooms be more competitive relative to Draenor dungeon gear.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause Mistweaver Monks that had undergone a Paid Character Boost to deal less damage than intended while in the process of unlocking skills and abilities.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause looping flight paths used for quests to not work correctly.

Blizzcon Day 2 Q&A – Liveblog

blizzcon logo

We’ll we liveblogging the WoW Q&A here which starts at roughly 00:30 CEST!

  • Faction restrictions on toys you already have will possibly be removed.
  • A tri-spec (having 3 different spec tabs) is not currently on the table
  • Sargeras is still the big bad in the end lorewise and not the old gods
  • A guild garrison or housing type is something the dev team will continue to talk about in the future, as well as more future garrison features
  • Guild achievements are something the devs will want to continue with, but they do need to be something worth making. It has to be a fun achievement.
  • Collision detection will continue to improve in the future. If players encounter something their mounts collide with and shouldn’t then the player should give that feedback.
  • The fire kitty feral look will not become a glyph.
  • When evolving the talent tree they look at the data they have on the usage of talents and multiple factors such as which ones are used and which ones are not. If a certain talent is the only one used in a talent tier it might need changing, just like if one isn’t being used at all.
  • Doing /roar while in druid shapeshift form might use the actual animal roars in the future.
  • For battle pets they view it as a expanding the content and not the levels, new things to collect.
  • Race and gender changes will not be added to the barbershop like the face changes were because they have much more meaning.
  • If there’s a legendary weapon in WoD it might get restricted in arena play.
  • They might consider a pvp legendary if there’s a pve one to counterbalance it.
  • World of Warcraft is the simulationtool the dev team uses with bots. They get their data from the bots literally playing the game. (Other than data from the players playing the game)
  • Portal roulette isn’t fun for not-mages. Which is why it was removed.
  • Beards disappear when wearing open helmets because of a bug with the big visual changes. They’re working on it. If you come across a helmet that does that, report it.
  • New armor archetypes and silhouettes are something they’re talking about.
  • Trade Prince Gallywax could eventually be brought back.
  • They could make it happen to be able to cook your own bacon ingame.
  • Events like the opening of the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj are great but they crashed servers. Such social events are still things they want to do.
  • The home of the zandalari trolls might be visited some day.
  • The zone Farahlon in Draenor might not be visited.
  • The worgen were removed from Shadowmoon Valley in early beta because they felt out of place and they wanted to focus on the Draenei.
  • The smelting interface will be brought over to milling and prospecting.
  • To be able to get a shot at mythic rewards from garrison missions you as a character already need to be an active player, you’ll need to have heroic gear to have a chance at mythic gear from a rare garrison raid mission.
  • For world pvp you should mainly go to Ashran.
  • Tom Chilton would love to be able to store addons in a could storage so you could log in anywhere and have your same idea. Whether or not that is possible for one day is up in the air.
  • Whether Khadgar is the new guardian (as he has the staff of Atiesh) remains to be seen.
  • The summon random favorite mount button might be split into 2 buttons: ground and flying.
  • The dragon aspects will be used in the future again.
  • There will be characters brought back to life that died in our original timeline, who are alive in the alternate timeline.
