Next up in our series is Tarlna the Ageless, who also resides in Gorgrond. A special thanks to WoWMartiean for recording this footage on the US servers! Check below the break for the full guide in text.
Hey guys I’m L-J from WoW Weekly and welcome to this Warlords of Draenor raiding guide. Today we’ll be taking a look at one the three world bosses, Tarlna the Ageless.
Tarlna looks and feels quite the same as Drov as he summons adds and has some spells that do some spikey damage. Not only that but he is also very similar to the final boss in The Everbloom dungeon. But as it is a world boss, it shouldn’t pose too big of a challenge.
The first attack that should have your attention is Colossal Blow. Tarlna will rear back and slam the ground, dealing damage and stunning everybody in front of him for 5 seconds. This will also deal over 100k damage to everyone fighting him.
He will also cast a spell called Savage Vines which will entangle an enemy, dealing 8,5k damage to this enemy every second for 8 seconds, after which the vines will erupt and damage all players in an 8 yard radius around the target. Healers should focus this player and everybody else should move away from the target. If your magic dispel is off cooldown, use it to get rid of the Savage Vines (currently not confirmed if it’s dispellable).
Next to these attacks, Tarlna will summon minions that will attack players.
He will cast Genesis which will create a field of sproutlings which need to be trampled before they can actually grow into Giant Lashers. This is very much the same tactic as with the last boss in The Everbloom, Yalnu. Giant Lashers that do spawn will need to be tanked by the off tank and DPSed down quickly as they will wreak havoc on the raid with shooting their Lasher Venom which will inflict around 27k damage.
The second add he will summon is an Untamed Mangragora, the big plant hydras. These will also need to be tanked by the off tank and they will also need to be a DPS priority. These will spit at random players and the Mandragora’s spit will spawn a toxic pool at the feet of the victim which deals about 25k damage every 1 second which they will have to move out of.
And that is basically the whole fight which should make it pretty easy to overcome him and get some iLevel 650 loot!
