In the Fractures in Time content update, the Warlock Class expands to new races. You’ll also be able to undertake a new Warlock-specific questline and use the Barbershop to customize your pets.
Embracing New Ways
Night Elves, Draenei, Lightforged Draenei, Pandaren, Kul Tiran, Tauren, Highmountain Tauren, Mag’har Orcs, and Zandalari Trolls can embrace the ways of the Warlock class—if they have the keen intellect for it and a strong stomach. Demons aren’t always easy to wrangle.
New Quest: New Imp
Warlocks can undertake a new quest line at level 30 that starts with the quest “Beginning Impositions.” To get started, meet up with Assistant Phineas in the Mage Quarter in Stormwind or in the Shadowed Cleft in Orgrimmar. He’ll send you on your way—in style—in a carriage bound for the Darkmoon fairgrounds.
Denizens of Azeroth,
Do you thirst for power? Do you wish to change your circumstances, to become… more? More free. More respected. More feared. Do you wish to become a Warlock? If your response to any of the above is “yes”, then meet with my humble servant Phineas.
In temptation, Madam Shadow
Once there, you’ll speak with Madam Shadow, who needs your help bringing new Warlocks into the fold. You’ll meet the new recruits, hear their stories of why they want to become a Warlock and complete the tasks Madam Shadow sets before you as you unwind any new mysteries on the dark isle.
Completing the questline will provide a new Imp customization.
Customizing Your Demon Pets
Stop by the Barbershop to view the available customizations in the game for your demon pets. You’ll be able to see the ones you’ve earned or ones that you’d like to earn right in the interface.
You’ll be able to go out into the world of Azeroth in style with your best-looking demon beside you.
Good luck, and happy cursing!
Greetings, Warlocks.
As several of you have noted, some of your demons have had their long-standing names lost with the new demon customization coming in Fractures in Time. We’re working on a fix for this, but we want to be clear on what you can expect when the patch goes live.
Once the patch is live in your region, we’re disabling several glyphs that previously were the only means of customizing your demon appearances. When you log in for the first time, your demon may no longer be summoned, and you will have to summon them again. Your summoned demon appearances will be reset to the default versions and will have a different name that matches the name associated with the default pet appearance.
Once you’re logged into Fractures in Time, you can start unlocking new customizations, such as the Grimoire of the Fel Imp. Once unlocked, you can go to the Barber Shop and change your imp’s appearance to the newly unlocked Fel Imp appearance. When finished at the Barber Shop, any previously glyphed or default demon appearances that you’re applying will either use the demon’s previously saved names, or if it is your first time using this appearance, a random new demon name.
This should be the case for any previous glyphed appearances you were using. To be clear: this does not mean that each summoned demon color and style combination has its own unique name now. This solution is only applicable to any glyphed demons you were using. The red, green, blue (yellow, orange, etc.) Fel Imps will all have the same name.
We’re excited about the new demon customizations, and we have a lot of new colors and styles being offered for you to use, with possibly a few more coming in future updates.
Thank you all for the feedback on this issue. The above changes should be testable in the next build of the Fractures in Time PTR.
