Today we’ll take a look at the heroic Iron Docks dungeon. Check below the break for the guide in text.
Hey guys I’m LJ from WoW Weekly and welcome to this Dungeon quick guide. Today we’ll be taking a look at the boss encounters in the Warlords of Draenor dungeon Iron.
First off we have Fleshrender Nok’gar. He will ride in on his trusted wolf Dreadfang which needs to be DPSed down first as you cannot attack Nok’Gar before the wolf is dead.
Dreadfang also has a couple of abilities of which Shredding Swipes is the most dangerous as it is a charge and it damages everybody that is in his way. He also does a Bloodletting howl which increases physical damage done to enemies by 30% and also Savage Mauling which basically is a mauling as it slows the enemy for 6 seconds while also constantly doing damage every second.
When Dreadfang is down, Nok’Gar will activate. His main ability he has is Reckless Provocation. He will get a red bubble. Shield that will not only protect him from any incoming damage, it will fear the attacker for a whole 5 seconds so don’t attack him when he has this buff. Secondly, he does a lot of AoE fire damage on the floor which is called Burning arrows. Arrows wil be fired on the spots where the players are so everybody needs to keep moving in order to dodge them. Flame patches will remain on the floor for a while so be sure to watch where you are standing. His last ability is called Barbed Arrow Barrage which basically is an arrow barrage that you need to side step from as not to get too much damage.
After he is down you will move along the docks, encountering some trash packs which will lead up to the next boss, the Grimrail Enforcers.
This encounter consistes of 3 different bosses namely; Ahri’ok Dugro, Makogg Emberblade and Nessa “Hightower” Nox. The main prio for this will be Ahri , Nessa and then Makogg. Most important is just to get Ahri down.
Ahri doesn’t do a whole lot other than her Sanguine Sphere which is basically a shield she will do on herself. When this shield is active it is imperative not to damage her she will heal 10% of max health for 3 seconds for herself and her evil companions. So don’t touch her when she has the sphere.
Makogg has a simpler soul, he does a flaming slash which does damage to all party members nearby and a lava sweep which also does damage to nearby party members but it also counjures up waves of lava that need to be side stepped.
Last but not least we have Nessa. She is an engineer which brings some funky elements to the fight. She will use Malfunctioning Jumper Cables 9000-XL which is basically a chain lightning so any if possible, spread out. She will also throw 8 Ogre Traps on the floor which will damage you but also slow your movement speed which can hamper your ability to move away from other damaging skills. She also call upon a bombsquad which is a mine that will charge a random selected player and deal damage in a 7 yards circle. You can and should kill the mine.
After killing the enforcers and some mobs packs (which have some funny RP to them in the background) the third boss will come up which is a captured Saberon who goes by the name Oshir.
Oshir is one mad cat which shows in his main ability, Time to Feed. When Oshir does this, he will pin a party member to the ground for a max of 20 secs, dealing damage every second. The party needs to break this by dealing 8% of Oshir’s max health in damage. This needs to be done fast otherwise this can be pretty lethal. Oshir also has a charge called Primal Assault. This is pretty straight forward and is easily dodge able as it is pretty clear in which way he will charge.
The third ability he has is Breakout. He will leap to one of the surrounding cages and break out either Ravenous wolves or Rylak Skyterrors which both a unique ability. The wolves will all fixate one random party member and deal damage to him or her. They will also do increased damage (25%) If they are near another wolf so it is best to kill them 2 or 3 at a time. The skyterrors will spit acid at enemies which will create an acid puddle which it is wise to get out of.
It’s not too difficult of a fight, so when he is down you will face the last boss.
The last fight is also a 3 part boss namely Skulloc the Gronn and 2 orcs by the names of Zoggosh and Koramar.
Kormar will be your first target as he doesn’t have a lot of health while he does do some nasty melee ranged damage such as a whirlwind shattering blade which are both AoE effects as well as a Beserker (heroic) leap which also does AoE damage at a random target.
Next you have Zoggosh who doesn’t do a whole lot but still does a lot of damage. He will jump into the cannon stationed nearby and he will rapid fire at a single target which will then damage this person and anybody standing near them of in between them. You need to run this away from the rest of the group.
Last is Skulloc. He will knock everybody to the back of the ship and then start his Cannon Barrage which will do massive damage unless you hide behind the crates that are to the right and left sides of the ship. You wil also need to move right away otherwise the Backdraft will kill you which comes from the back of the ship where you land. Cannon Barrage is a 5-ish sec cast which will then pause for a second or 2 in which you and the whole party needs to move up to the next crates and so on until you can reach Skulloc and interrupt his spellcasts.
He will do this, depending on your DPS, about 2-3 times in a fight which basically makes the rest of the fight a tank’n’spank.
