Hey Guys I’m Mezzy and welcome to my guide for 10man heroic Kor’kron Dark Shamans. This is the 7th encounter in heroic Siege of Orgrimmar. I’m going to assume you know the normal mode mechanics. If you don’t you can check out my normal mode guide. You can click on the link in the annotation or in the description section.
This fight is done much differently on heroic. For starters you’ll want 3 tanks 3 healers and 4 dps. Preferably you’ll want them all to be ranged dps. At 95% the shaman will drop a new totem called Rusted Iron Totem which gives them each 1 new ability.
It gives Haromm the Iron Tomb ability which will cause a tombstone to spawn underneath a few players and damage them when it does. There will be an earth cracking animation before they do, so you can and should move out before they spawn.
Kardris gains the Iron Prison ability, which puts a debuff on 2 players and after a minute it will deal 100% of their health as physical damage to them. You need to use absorbtion spells such as shields and damage reduction cooldowns to deal with this.
When you start the encounter, focus down the wolves first. Have the ranged start to the left so that the tombstones can be dropped here. Once the wolves are down you’ll split into 2 groups. 2 tanks and 2 healers will take Haromm as far up the ramp towards General Nazgrim and fight from there on out. I’ll discuss this group later on. The 2nd group should be 1 tank, 1 healer and 4 dps. Have everyone grouped up on the left so that the toxic storm tornados will spawn behind the boss. When toxic storm is cast move as a group forward and keep doing so around the room. You want to make sure that the group is never blocked by any tornados. When the oozes from the foul geyser spawn, kill them as you normally would. Once you reach 50% you’ll also have to deal with the meteor from Falling Ash.
These hurt a lot more and they hurt both groups on impact. So call it out on ventrilo before they do crash into the ground so that the Haromm group is ready for the extra burst in damage. The fight will just be a rinse and repeat of dealing with tornados, oozes, iron tombs and meteors. In your 2nd round around the room the other group will be getting close and if you get too close to them, both groups might get unlucky and have to deal with the other group’s mechanics. To try and prevent that the 6 person group does not go beyond the red marker in the video.
Now for the 2nd group, get Haromm back as far as possible so you have the most room as the fight progresses. The tanks will want to switch at 5 stacks. Haromm will put the Toxic Mist debuff as usual, it will be up on 2 people at the same time, if there are not 2 nontank players near him then it will also be put on a tank, so it should always go on the 2 healers and as usual with heroics it does a lot more damage. You’ll have to deal with the foul stream as usual but now the risk to hit other players is a lot lower. To deal with the Iron Tombs the most efficiently the healers should stack up on each other to the side and when it’s cast move just a little down the ramp to not get hit by it and get the stone stacked.
The tank should have their face towards the ramp as the ashen wall that comes in at 50% will spawn through their shoulders if you will. So each time a wall is cast you go a bit down the ramp and make use of the ramp most efficiently. The damage is pretty intense especially because you’ll also still get hit by the meteor impact damage so healers be ready for a tough ride.
As a last note I’d like to add that you don’t always hit the same percentages at the exact same time, meaning that the timings between the different abilities will almost always be different, so be prepared for multiple abilities in rapid succession.
For both groups it’ll be a rinse and repeat of the different abilities so once you get a hang of it, so good luck! If you liked this video please comment and subscribe.
