There hasn’t been much news in WoW this week, not even a new beta patch. However we did get a few interesting tweets.
Muffinus teased 7 rare mounts for Draenor that are in the time-lost protodrake style! They are however much less cruel to the collector than the previous mounts.
.@tanjon@Thaedris Inside the furry package you find: SEVEN time-lost proto-drake style mounts scattered across Draenor! Not as mean tho š
Celestalon let us know that you’ll be able to access proving grounds at level 30 (at the very least the bronze version) and that the npcs will scale up to your item level instead of your gear being scaled down in the future!
@Sqwertie In 6.0: Bronze available at level 30 and above. The NPCs scale to your ilvl instead of it downscaling your ilvl.
The PvP battleground call to arms is being removed in Warlord of Draenor. This is being done in due to the negative influence the call to arms had on queues.
We’ve removed Call to Arms in Warlords. Originally, the feature was added to bring some variety to the battleground experience and allow players who like a specific battleground to occassionally binge on it. But, like any feature, we have to weight the benefits with the consequences. Call to Arms has an adverse affect on queue times in a pretty profound way. When certain battlegrounds are up, one faction will tend to queue for Call to Arms while the other tends to avoid it. As a result, we’re going to remove it so that the majority of players are queuing through Random Battlegrounds.
Heey everybody! Iām Ljohnsilver or L-J for short. You might have seen me on the Podcast that WoW Weekly does every week and decided to do my first column so if it sucks (which it probably will), cut me some slack and please say what I could improve! Iāve been playing WoW almost from the start now as a Healadin. Anyways, Iām gonna be doing it a little bit differently than you are probably used to on WoW Weekly. As this is basically all pro WoW and everything around it (except the devs cause f*ck em) im gonna be talking about WoW players and why they can be suchā¦. unfriendly people (in-game that is! No promises on āReal Lifeā situations).
We probably have all encountered one of the aforementioned people one time or another, when leveling your first character, running LFR (never ceases to amaze me, LFR that is) or just in general when standing in Stor
mwind/Orgrimmar. Now, Iām not saying that all players like this, on the contrary Watson, in my personal experience 95% of all people are generally nice and helpful when you are nice and polite yourself. It just that rotten egg once in a while that ticks you off by being unreasonable, annoying, rude or any of the other 15 million reasons that are possible.
Now, why is this? Why is it so difficult for some people to actually be a kind human being and help you with your quest or why do they swoop in to steal that mining node while clearly you were killing those mobs for it. Now,I have no idea as to the psychological aspects to this (please see my brother who is studying psychology!) but I can figure out one or two things that are in effect here and will try my best to explain them in the next few paragraphs:
The Internet
We all know and love the internet and what it has brought us. It has opened up and changed world like nothing has before. You can watch, buy, sell and much much more all in a few mouse clicks. Regular citizens and people have never had so much power in which, when gathered together for a common purpose we have brought down companies. But the internet also gives us anonymity (Not you NSA, please go away). And itās this anonymity which gives a lot of people a feeling of power which leads them to be really rotten on online games. We all know the reputation average Call of Duty players have gotten over the years as being spoiled 13-year-olds that have *beeeep* with my mother. This is not the only example out there and I am willing to bet most of us have our own experience with this behaviour which is almost accepted nowadays. The ātrollzā (how these people are known as) always like to antagonize the average Joe and Jane which leads me to my next bit.
The time and energy
Iām guessing, as you are on a website that provides you with WoW news, you to play WoW or at least, you play games. We all know that this can consume a lot of your time in which you try to achieve the greatest feat possible or you just simply enjoy yourself and have a good time. This is where we, the people, and them, the trollz, differ. As we like to mind our own business or in a party just want the dungeon to be done/enjoy the dungeon, the troll seems to enjoy themself by spending its time and energy in wasting yours. Not only is this frustrating, it is also confusing to most people as the trolls are playing the same game as you, they are probably the same level as you which means they have spent about as much time in the game as you, yet all they do is make life miserable to others. To most, of which I am one, this is mind boggling and leads me to my third and final bit about the troll.
WoW, higher than average?
Now, as stated before,Ihave played WoW for almost 10 years and my /played is scary. But I have also played a lot (and I mean a lot) of other games, single and multiplayer (yes CoD, Battlefield and other, major extreme time consumers a.k.a. MMOs). And in my own experience WoW, or more specific, the community is becoming more and more, infested if you will, with trollz. Now this is only the hardcore trollz who make trolling a profession and not the average 13-year-old that say everything that comes up in their mind because they donāt have a filter yet, I think that WoW has mostly become a victim of its own success when the subs were high and a lot of people were playing the game. A lot of people joined and played the game and a lot of the people who joined back then have become fed up with the game and have since resorted to other methods inside the game to have fun in their own way.
Epic Conclusion
After playing WoW for so long and there isnāt an end in sight for me,I think that as the game progresses, a lot of people will either stop playing it, including trolls, or they will become more and more bitter which is a path that can ultimately lead to the dark side. Trollz have also been something that is inside of every human being, some more than other is which the feeling of being better than others and showing this, narcissism, is a normal feeling, to a certain degree. It is what the person decides to do with this feeling which ultimately leads to becoming a troll, becoming a bitter player, staying and just playing the game or leaving the game altogether.

In Warlords of Draenor you can recruit followers for your garrison each zone. You’ll come across a lot during questing, but the zones are so big you might miss them. As we discover the rarer followers we’ll add them to the liast as well. To help you keep track of them all we’ve compiled a list of all the rares we’ve been able to find. Remember WoD is still in beta, anything can change. If we missed any feel free to leave a comment with the location and name of the rare mob or event. Click on the map for a full size version.

Hey all. Please focus on continuing to give good feedback, not the style/amount of our responses to said feedback. We’re just extremely busy, not ignoring or spiteing you.
Now then… Yes, the Marksmanship and Survival rotations are simpler than they were before. The goal is to have a simpler baseline rotation, and have meaningful choices that allow you to layer more depth onto that in talents, if you choose.
Hunters have a ton of talents which grant rotational or short CD abilities, to support this design. However, they were lacking in rotational depth. The gameplay of most of them boiled down to “use on cooldown”. No need to think about preparing for when you’re going to use it, or how it interacts with your rotation, etc. So, we’re going to make some tweaks to try to add some rotational depth to several of the talent choices.
Barrage is being changed to make it more rotational, with Focus-pooling gameplay required to min/max its benefit. You’ll want to pool 60 Focus in anticipation of it coming off cooldown.
Barrage now has a 20sec CD (down from 30sec), costs 60 Focus (up from 30 Focus), and deals 100% additional damage.
Murder of Crows had a cooldown-shortening effect that hardly mattered in practice; either the fight would likely be over within 1min if used on a low-healh boss, or you’d likely waste most of the damage of the crows if used on a low-health add. Instead, we’re changing that mechanic, so that it’s primarily useful on those low-health adds. You’ll want to time it well to finish off low health targets, while still being as Focus-efficient as possible.
Murder of Crows has been changed. Its duration, cost, and cooldown have been reduced by 50%. It no longer has a shorter cooldown when used on low health targets. Instead, its cooldown is reset if the target dies.
The gameplay of Fervor and Dire Beast were extremely similar, so we opted to replace Fervor completely. It’s rather late in the development process to be doing that, so went with something tried and true: Steady Focus. This iteration of Steady Focus purely increases Focus regeneration, and has a duration short enough to add depth.
Fervor has been replaced with Steady Focus: Using Cobra Shot or Steady Shot twice in a row, or using Focusing Shot, increases your Focus Regeneration by 50% for 10 sec.
We think that these changes will allow Hunters of all types to customize their gameplay to their liking.
To clarify.. is it reverting to how it works on Live servers or the version that relies on Black Arrow. I assume the Black Arrow one which I am pretty okay with.
It’s changing to… 20% chance on Black Arrow tick (not multistrikes, and guaranteed to get at least 1 proc per Black Arrow cast). Effect is to reset ExS’s cooldown, and cause the next two ExSs to cost no focus and trigger no cooldown.
We don’t view specs by their baseline untalented rotations, because their baseline untalented rotations never matter. What matters is the complete package. The complete package includes some baseline abilities, some talent on rows where all affect your rotation, and some optional rotation-affecting talents to complicate things further. It makes it very customizable. Most of you are quite experienced and will enjoy significant added rotational complexity, which is available to you.
