Join Hearthstone’s 10-Year Anniversary!

Get the Fiery Hearthsteed

Players can try their hand at Hearthstone between March 11 and May 14 to earn the Fiery Hearthsteed mount* in World of Warcraft. Getting your hands on this unique flying mount is simple . . . and fun! New to Hearthstone? You’ll need to progress past the tutorial to receive the mount. If you’re a regular patron of the inn, you only need to login to get the mount and add it to your World of Warcraft collection.

Along with a hot new mount, you’ll also gain the new achievement, Hearthstoned: Fiery Edition, to add to your accolades.

Take a Seat at the Table in World of Warcraft

Hearthstone tournaments periodically pop up in the capital cities where you can take a seat at the table and play a version of Hearthstone right within World of Warcraft.

When: March 11- March 18
Where: Stormwind Harbor, Durotar (outside of Orgrimmar), and Valdrakken

Stick around long enough and you’ll face a special encounter with Whizbang where you can defeat iconic minions to add to your deck and earn other fun new Hearthstone-themed rewards!

World of Warcraft Joins the Festivities

The party has spilled out of our Tavern and all of Azeroth is joining the celebration. Starting on March 11, log into Hearthstone to get a new Fiery Hearthsteed World of Warcraft mount for free!*

Also, from March 11 to March 18, you can seek out special “Hearthstone” matches in capital cities. Blizzcon Opening Ceremony Summary

The Blizzcon Opening Ceremony just concluded! Here’s what Blizzard revealed (All cinematics are at the bottom of this post):

  • Destiny 2 will be free for all battle.net players, this offer is available to be claimed until November 18th
  • Starcraft 2 gets a new Co-op commander: Zeratul.
  • Heroes of the Storm gets its first new original hero character, originating from HotS itself: Orphea, daughter of the Raven Lord
  • Orphia is free for all blizzcon attendees and virtual ticket holders.
  • Heroes of the Storm will finally see the Janitor Leoric skin making its appearance!
  • The current World of Warcraft segment was a repeat of the patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance announcement. What lays beyond patch 8.1 will be discussed in the What’s Next panel for WoW.
  • In addition to that WoW Classic will fully release in the summer of 2019.
  • Anyone with a WoW subscription will have access to WoW Classic!
  • This year’s WoW charity pet will be Whomper, a little yeti and the money goes to the organisation code.org.
  • A new cinematic for BfA “Lost Honor” was shown.
  • A new Overwatch animated short was shown: Reunion
  • The 29th Overwatch hero to join the roster will be Ashe, the leader of the Deadlock gang
  • Warcraft 3 is being remastered! It will be released in 2019.
  • You can order a spoils of war edition of warcraft 3, pre-ordering it will unlock bonuses for the other Blizzard games. This includes a meatwagon mount in WoW with a functioning catapult!

  • The next Hearthstone expansion is the troll themed Rastakhan’s Rumble, with a snazzy new cinematic trailer!
  • Hearthstone will get a new keyword “Overkill”, this will activate if you deal more damage than the target has in health.
  • (Hearthstone) Each class gets a troll champion, a loa (troll god) and a spirit.
  • Rastakhan’s Rumble releases December 4th.
  • The next Diablo game will be a mobile action RPG called “Diablo Immortal”.
  • Diablo Immortal will take place in between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3.

Blizzcon Day 1 – Opening Ceremony Summary

The opening ceremony for blizzcon has concluded, here’s a summary of everything new that was announced:

  • Brightpaw the Mana Kitty, will be this year’s charity ingame WoW pet on the blizzard store
  • Diablo will get a patch 2.4
  • Starcraft 2 will get mission packs, they will provide new stories and missions for the players to play.
    • The first is “Nova Covert Ops”
    • It will have 3 new missions
  • The trailer for the Warcraft movie was shown

  • Heroes of the Storm will get a new game mode next year: The Arena
    • The heroes you play will be randomly chosen (you can choose from 3 random heroes)
    • You could have 5 of the same hero on your team (e.g. 5 illidans)
    • It’s a small, single objective battleground
  • Heroes of the storm new heroes: Genn Greymane, Lunara, Cho’gall (played by 2 players)
    • Cho’gall will be given to blizzcon attendees, those with virtual tickets and a few players on battle.net
    • The rest will have to earn Cho’gall through a quest.
      • You will have to play 2 games with someone who does have cho’gall to get him.
      • If you as cho’gall owner play 4 games with someone who doesn’t have him, you’ll get gold in Heroes.
  • Heroes of the storm new battleground: Towers of Doom
  • Hearthstone is going to get a new adventure: The League of Explorers
    • You will have to defeat challenges for every wing. Completing each wing will give you a legendary card.
    • A new mechanic will be introduced “Discover”. This will present you 3 random cards from which you get to choose 1. It will be appropriate for your deck.
    • It will release later this month! Infact, it starts on Thursday!
  • Overwatch gains 3 new heroes: D.VA, Mei and Genji
  • Overwatch gains 1 new map: Hollywood
  • Overwatch will need to be bought. You’ll get all heroes and maps with it.
  • There will be a special edition: Overwatch Origins
    • This will have 5 different hero skins.
    • This will lprovide ingame bonuses like other collector’s edition games. WoW ingame pet, HS cardback, etc. (Tracer hero for Heroes of the Storm)
  • Origins edition will also be brought to XBOX One and PS4.
  • You can buy at buyoverwatch.com it will give you a pre-purchase widowmaker skin.
  • Overwatch will launch in the spring of 2016.
  • WoW Legion:
    • Gul’dan’s mission was to tear a hole in reality
    • Illidan will help the Alliance and Horde to defeat The Burning Legion
    • The intro cinematic for Legion was shown
    • Will launch summer 2016
