CLASSES

  • Multiple Class talents that were previously Shadowlands Covenant Abilities (such as Convoke the Spirits, Divine Toll, and Sepsis) have had their spell visuals updated to match their Class visual kit. • DEMON HUNTER
    • Elysian Decree is now Chaos damage (was Arcane).
    • The Hunt is now Chaos damage(was Nature).
  • EVOKER
    • Source of Magic now lasts 1 hour (was 30 minutes).
    • Preservation
      • Developers’ note: We would like maintaining Reversions to feel more rewarding for Preservation Evoker, even when playing an Emerald Blossom focused build. As a result, we are tying in casts of Reversion with Essence Burst. This should make the rotational flow of Preservation smoother and more enjoyable. Since this introduces more mana-free spell casts, we are also increasing mana costs to compensate.
      • Essence Burst may now trigger from casts of Reversion.
      • Mana cost of most spells increased by 10%.
      • Grace Period now increases your healing by 10/20% on targets with your Reversion (was 5/10%).

      • Ancient Teachings now additionally increases Stamina by 5% while active.
      • Teachings of the Monastery now highlights Blackout Kick on the action bar when it reaches max stacks.
      • Thunder Focus Tea now has additional functionality with Expel Harm, causing it to transfer 25% more healing to damage and create a Chi Cocoon on yourself.
      • Tea of Plenty now has the possibility to grant Expel Harm and Enveloping Mist instead of Essence Font and Renewing Mist.
      • Secret Infusion now has additional functionality with Expel Harm, granting Versatility.
      • Faeline Stomp has been renamed to Jadefire Stomp.
      • Awakened Faeline has been renamed to Awakened Jadefire.
    • Windwalker
      • Dance of the Wind has been redesigned – Your dodge chance is increased by 10% and an additional 10% every 4 seconds until you dodge an attack.

  • SHAMAN
    • Earth Elemental, Fire Elemental, and Storm Elemental (as well as the Primal versions of these elementals) now have a reduced size in instances for the Shaman’s allies and enemies. For the Shaman, the Elementals still appear large.

      • Developers’ note: We’re removing a previous PvP reduction to the base damage of Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning and focusing the reduction on spells triggered during Ascendance to target burst damage.
      • Lightning Bolts and Chain Lightnings triggered by Thorim’s Invocation now deal 30% reduced damage in PvP combat.
      • Thorim’s Invocation now increases the damage of Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning by 20% in PvP combat (was 10%).
  • WARRIOR
    • Fury
      • Slaughterhouse (PvP Talent) now triggers off of Odyn’s Fury and Onslaught damage, in addition to Rampage damage.

Take the Lead in Follower Dungeons

Quote from: Blizzard

In the Seeds of Renewal, players level 60-70 will have the opportunity to play through Normal difficulty Dragonflight dungeons solo, or with friends, with a little help from a few NPC teammates. You’ll be able to earn appropriate level gear for your specialization within these dungeons the same as you would running through any Normal difficulty dungeon.

Whether you want to experience the dungeon for the first time as a solo player or you want to have a friend or two join you to learn the mechanics and boss fights, you can queue to join this new type of dungeon feature right within the Group Finder (I) tool.

Dungeons Available:

  • Ruby Life Pools
  • Nokhud Offensive
  • Brackenhide Hollow
  • Halls of Infusion
  • Algeth’ar Academy
  • Neltharus
  • The Azure Vault
  • Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr

Choose your role as either a healer, damage dealer, or tank within the dungeon as you would normally and NPC followers will fill in the gaps to complete your group of five.

Your new NPC friends will help buff you and even lay out a mage table for when you get peckish for a bite or two in the dungeon.

Once in the dungeon, you can make the choice to either lead the party through the dungeon, have another player in your group lead, or be led by one of the NPCs in you party. Simply toggle on “Dungeon Assistance” when you want to let go of the reins and let them lead the way. Your new followers, whether supporting you or leading, will go at your pace allowing you to explore the dungeon and get comfortable in your role within the dungeon.

When you want to take the lead again, you can turn off the Dungeon Assistance by clicking on the updated selection in the center of your screen.

Follower Dungeons are a fun and easy way to sharpen your skills in Dragonflight dungeons, gear up, or spend quality time exploring with a friend or two alongside your new NPC friends.

We look forward to seeing you in the Dragon Isles!

Dig Into the Dragon Isles with the Azerothian Archives

Quote from: Blizzard

Discover the history of the Dragon Isles and meet a unique cast of characters, hear stories of old, and witness the iconography of a time before. Participate in Solo and Group activities within Traitor’s Rest with an hourly Public Event, plenty of opportunity to explore, and earn cosmetic rewards like Battle Pets, Mounts, and a Transmog set.

When Dragonflight: Seeds of Renewal arrives the week of January 16, players can head to the Roasted Ram Inn to collect the quest “To the Archives!” and begin their journey to Algeth’ar Academy in Thaldraszus where they will be directed to meet with Lead Archivist, Eadweard Dalyngrigge and his team of archaeologists and archivists at Traitor’s Rest.

This is the site of the famed Battle of Traitor’s Rest between Neltharion’s troops and all the cultures of the Dragon Isles from eons ago! There’s so much to be uncovered, discovered, and recovered here, and we’re going to need all the Archivists on deck to make it happen.

Excavation

Visit Geo-Archaeologist Roska Rocktooth to receive an elemental assistant specific to each site to help you discover Finds to excavate. Once a Find is located, plant a shaman totem and instruct your elemental pal to carefully excavate the spot to reveal a myriad of interesting Finds, from relics to enemies to take down.

Locating small and large Finds alike will trigger a minigame to challenge burgeoning Archivists—players must keep the element bar balanced using their elemental assistant to dig the relic up.

Technoscrying

Every site contains items that must be sought to reveal scenes from the distant past. Report to Techno-Archaeologist Zenata to receive a set of goggles called Technoscryers that help you locate specific items with directional pings and alerts leading you to their location.

Once an item is located, Zenata calibrates your goggles, and upon doing so, you’ll witness a scene from the past that will give context to the items or provide a small story.

Research

The more you know! Codicological Archeologist Nirobin uses his own mix of blue and bronze magic, along with a Relic, to create arcane familiars to assist in collecting related information from the site that the Relic is from.

Each site has its own type of adorable familiar that spawns copies of itself. Those copies seek out sources of related information. Players can accompany the original familiar and absorb the information once found. Weekly Quest completion helps to fill out Nirobin’s tome with more and more details on each site’s story.

Rewards

Small sites are available for those who like solo adventures, and those who wish to group up with their mates can join in group activities at large sites that last ten minutes with multi-stage scenarios. Players can participate in various activities, including excavating and fending off enemies. Once the event timer runs out, players will have to defend themselves against Doomshadow after the event to gain more pages to fill out their tomes.

Along with green, blue, or purple tomes that offer items and reputation once opened, players can gain the following rewards from Provisioner Aristra at Algeth’ar Academy:
